Post-Harassment Counseling for Washington Workplaces
Program Elements for Washington Employers
Each session deals with a specific misconduct. We identify the misconduct with relevant company policies and Washington laws, including RCW 49.60 (Washington Law Against Discrimination). Employees will know exactly what line they crossed and why it matters both legally and organizationally.
State-Specific Legal FrameworkUnlike Title VII, our trainers address the precise laws violated, including their recent interpretation and employer liabilities under WLAD, since Washington employers are subject to state labor and discrimination laws.
Mandatory Comprehension ChecksEmployees take a pre-assessment and a post-assessment. These are marked and filed in the HR files of these employees. There is absolutely no compromise with regard to minimally acceptable legal boundaries.
Written Compliance SummariesPost-session reports are delivered to HR containing documentation of behavior analysis, session outcomes, and disciplinary recommendations. These are structured to withstand internal or external legal audits.
Extended Follow-Up OptionMonthly check-ins may be held upon an employer’s request. These are conducted as periodic checks to follow the act over time and ensure continued compliance.
This is not preventative training. It is a consequence-driven process.

An internal investigation has been launched by Seattle City Light in light of allegations of employees drinking on the job and engaging in harassment and retaliation at a city facility. It was reported via a whistleblower complaint that management had been turning a blind eye to several incidents involving intimidation, verbal abuse, and the use of substances while on duty. Some of the employees have been reassigned or placed on leave of absence. The city has now started an external investigation into the workplace culture and compliance issues.
