Disciplinary Harassment Counseling for Louisiana Employers

In Louisiana, with serious harassment or discrimination situations, if termination is not pursued, a structured, documented process must follow. Our disciplinary counseling is a one-on-one basis where misconduct is analyzed, changes in behavior are guided, and compliance is reinforced while trying to retain the value of the employee and protect legal clarity.

What Our Counseling Provides

Incident-Specific Sessions

We meet privately to discuss serious misconduct already confirmed, relate the actions to company policy and Louisiana discriminatory law, and set clear corrective expectations.

Legal Context Guidance

The counseling note refers to Title VII and Louisiana employment law to give real-world, enforceable terms to this misconduct.

Understanding & Compliance Checks

Pre-assessment and post-assessment confirm the trainee’s comprehension of the instructions given and the trainee’s agreement to abide by corrective actions.

HR Documentation Reports

You will be provided with detailed written summaries of misconduct, corrective actions, and follow-up recommendations to be placed in personnel files.

Behavioral Follow‑Up

Optional monthly check-ins ensure that the employee stays within behavior standards while being held reasonably accountable.

The commitment focuses on confirmed events rather than general awareness. An act of correction is provided rather than just education.

Why Louisiana Employers Use Corrective Counseling

Demonstrates Prompt Employer Action

Validates that you’ve addressed harassment seriously—even if termination wasn’t necessary.

Protects Organizational Reputation

Helps restore employee trust and workplace integrity after misconduct.

Creates Legal Defense Documentation

Detailed counseling records serve as key evidence in HR reviews or litigation.

Preserves Talent with Accountability

Encourages improvement and retention rather than immediate dismissal.
